Leadership Grads Manage Impressive Growth and Impact of ABLE-NH

by Casey Eyring | Jan 13, 2012

“So much is happening we can barely keep up!” said Linda Quintanilha, President of ABLE New Hampshire. “Membership is growing. New chapters are emerging all over the state.”

Linda Q. reports this past year the greater Wolfeboro community formed a chapter and in Keene the chapter is growing so quickly, member are thinking of creating a second. The Seacoast area chapter has also morphed into two chapters; one in Rochester and one in Portsmouth.

ABLE is pleased to announce their grant writing team has secured funds this year from Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Gone Giving, the Alice Peters Irwin Fund and New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

With grant monies earned and revenue projections for 2012 looking very strong, ABLE board members and a search committee are in discussions regarding the hiring of a full time organizer for the non-profit. The target date for hiring someone and getting them up and running is early summer 2012.

Linda added that ABLE is rebuilding their web site and is looking for stakeholders to serve on the website committee. If you are interested let her know by email - linda.quintanilha@gmail.com.

Upcoming events for ABLE include the Annual Spring Banquet April 28th and the First Annual Motorcycle run August 18th.
